GCSE Statistics encourages Whitecross students to collect, analyse and interpret data from the world around them.
The course enables students to acquire and develop a range of skills to identify trends and draw conclusions from a range of data points. Students use practical investigations to develop their personal critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The course uses authentic contexts to show how statistics is applied in subjects like Biology, Geography, Economics, and Business, as well as in everyday life.
GCSE statistics includes a more in-depth look at topics also found in GCSE Maths, such as averages (mean, median, mode), different types of statistical diagrams (bar charts, pie charts, histograms), and probability.
The course focusses specifically on the practical application of statistical methods in real-world scenarios and encourages a more critical approach to data
