At Whitecross, we understand that families can sometimes face challenges where extra guidance or support is needed. In many cases, help can be found through friends, relatives or the wider community; however, there are times when more structured support may be beneficial. This page outlines the ways in which Whitecross can help, as well as where families can access further support if required.
Our School Support Offer
Whitecross is committed to supporting the wellbeing, attendance and overall success of our students and their families. We recognise the pressures that family life can bring and aim to offer timely support, clear advice and appropriate referrals where necessary. Our pastoral and safeguarding teams work closely with students and families to promote positive outcomes and early intervention.
Our Early Help Offer is designed to support a range of needs, including attendance concerns, medical matters, emotional wellbeing and mental health, bereavement, pupil premium support, and guidance around family routines and relationships.
How We Can Support
As a school, we are able to provide support in a variety of ways, including:
Working With External Services
We work in close partnership with the Herefordshire Early Help Team. Families who feel they need support beyond what school can offer are encouraged to contact the Children’s Help and Advice Team (CHAT) directly on 01432 260261.
We are also keen to support families in accessing parenting courses, whether online or face-to-face. These courses are delivered locally through the Early Help Team and can provide valuable guidance and reassurance.
