Best Ever Exam Results!
Whitecross is celebrating the best ever examination results for the school. In 2012, over 58% of students achieved 5 or more grades C or above including English and Maths. This compares extremely favourably with other local schools and with the national picture where results have dropped this year for the first time.
We're proud that:-
- The number of A and A* grades has risen to a record high.
- 20% of all grades awarded were A* or A grades.
- A record 16% of students gained 5 or more A* or A grades.
- 11 students achieved 8 or more A* and A grades - an amazing feat!
- 70% of students achieved a C grade or above in English compared to a national average of 65.4%.
- In Maths 68% of students gained a C or higher compared to the national average of 58%.
These excellent results are a reflection of the incredible hard work of students, staff and parents and a determination to achieve the highest standards. We are never complacent and believe that our support, together with offering a personalised curriculum best meets the needs of each individual student. The team at Whitecross is dedicated to performing at the highest levels so that students are able to compete with the best when they leave.
